A geometric plaza

Location: Ahmedabad
Area: 8,400 sq.ft.
Architect: CDS architect
Designed as a corporate house for the developer, the project addresses the challenge of accommodating parking while preserving meaningful landscape space. Inspired by neo-classical architecture, the entrance forms a semi-circular forecourt with steps and integrated greens. Geometric flooring patterns define movement and visual rhythm, while lawn insets soften the hardscape, creating a balanced, structured, and welcoming arrival experience that aligns with the building's formal character.

The design explores varied flooring patterns and material textures to refine the arrival experience, carefully composing geometry, scale, and tone. These iterations aim to enhance visual clarity while reinforcing the dignity of the space, creating a cohesive forecourt that feels structured, balanced, and appropriate to the building's formal architectural language.

The plinth follows a semi-circular form, extending the geometry of the forecourt, while a water body is integrated to unify the composition. Together with the concentric paving and greens, these elements create a cohesive design language, culminating in a grand, dignified entrance gesture that enhances arrival experience and spatial presence.
