Linear landscape

The linear site of an amalgamation of four plots was visualised through two ideas - thresholds in landscape and poetry by Gulzar - celebrating life’s transitions, emotions and beauty found in everyday moments. It captures the essence of change, inviting users to pause, reflect and experience the beauty of moment. The water body acts as a mirror, reflecting depths. The bridge connects the party lawn and further merges into the wilderness creating a sensory experience.
The project brief evolved through two conceptual explorations — one derived from clear parti diagrams structuring thresholds and other inspired by evocative phrases from Gulzar’s poetry, translating emotion into space. Together, these approaches informed the division of the site into distinct yet interconnected zones. Each space is curated as an experience, balancing logic and lyricism, where movement, pause, and transition unfold as a layered narrative across the landscape.
This linear farmhouse landscape evolved through poetic sensibilities allowing the plan to become more fluid and experiential.The dense planting palette in a rich soil site of Nal Sarovar with envisioned thriving trees and spaces crafted — culminates in a landscape that balances precision with narrative depth.
